engin shuddering problem

hi all im havin serious problems with myn mk1 leon!!! i recently posted some issues with my temp gauge,it was dropping down to 60 then bk to 90,even tho the engine was warm! had a new temp sensor fitted,but this did no solve the prob!!arghhhhhhhhh!main dealer sed it was the needle which goes up an down an tells u the temp on the dash,that was at fault!!But now got a new problem= wen driving sometimes cer runs a bit shitty,juddering an spluttering,an wen coming to lights or a roundabout,it starts shuddering an cuts owt!!!
PLZ HELP!!!!!!!!

If it's a petrol one it could be the coil packs on there way out.
Did the dealer scan for any fault codes?
What about crappy fuel?

Ye it is a petrol, 1.8 20v t one. An the last tank was filled to the brim with that premium stuff!! I hope its nowt too serious :-( going too ring garage to c uf i can book it in(not the stealers tho).

Temperature is probably the thermostat.

car been in garage an turns out the engine shudder problem was a GASKET MANIFOLD HOZE problem, they said it had came loose,so replaced it!!! and as for the temp gauge.......... STILL not rite!!!!! :-(.
car booked in in on 21st jan for FULL SERVICE and MOT,an while its in getting the thermostat replaced!!
Cant wait too see the bill. :-( :-( :-( . needs 2 new tyres aswell!

My temp gauge started to fail after the water pump went and the car temp went right up, and bust the thermostat.
Had to get it replaced Wednesday, now hold 90 deg after it as warmed up.

mine (touch wood doesnt go above 90, its strange wen its sitting,idling it stays at 90 but wen i start driving it starts to do its own thing,it drops down an back up!! very frustrating!! hopefully afta service,mot,an thermostat replaced,it(fingers an toes crossed) it will be spot on!! il post on this thread wen iv got it bk.
