Ok in response to the other thread where it's clear a 1.8T isn't a smart transplant as they already put it into the car, what VAG engines would you transplant into a Mk4?

I'd love to hear the bark of an R32 (or Audi equivalent) from an Ibiza and I think the 1.4TSFI would be better suited to the smaller Ibiza/Polo/Fabia platform than the golf but it would be a pain to transplant.

but this is the second time the word 'convertion' has been used and its little things like that which irritate me. It's spelt with an s not a t!!

conversion

thanking you

LOL ^ so true... (@acid)

Modified mk4's are pretty thin on the ground anyway, and offer 2 great engines as standard. Tuning up either can potentially see very good figures so the reason for a transplant is almost non-existant.

i seriously toyed with the idea of putting the R32 engine in, i wanted something amazing and diffrent! but proved to be very very costly! ...............................................oh yeah and FAST

Here Here, whats the point when you can easily get 240+ BHP out of the TDi and 350+ out of the 1.8T with just a turbo conversion and no stupidly expensive internal work.

yes, spelling on forums can be funny or annoying especially when there is an American spell checker for us all to use

the one that annoys me is the brought instead of bought one [:@]
but then that's probably grammar not spelling

this all sounds a bit silly coming from a guy with dyslexia but hey I know I have issues and I make use of the spell check button

I still think the 5.0 litre V10 out the Touareg would be immense!!! i doubt it would be possible however engine bay is too small?! Unless you took out the back seats and lined it all and made it a rear engined car and put the lump in there!!!! of course you would need 2 change all rear windows to some sort of venting idea....it would be rediculously expensive and impractical.....if i win he lotto however it would deffo have to be done.....just for the Sh*ts and Giggles!!! lol! :funk:

Well there's a 6N polo on club polo having a 1.8T put in the back, the other option would be to extend the engine compartment back into the passenger compartment then shift the firewall and driver back, it's popular with hotrod boys in the states with older cars and big V8s.
