engine coolant

have just had a fault diagnosed P0118 Engine Coolant Temperature Circuit high input,
so have ordered the part temperature sensor £5 + vat, and am going to fit it, has anyone any idea where it goes, to save me looking around for a long time

is that anything to do with the 3 beeps in the mornig n red flashin light

Thats usually the sensor in the header tank, rather than the sender in the pipework.
