Is there a thread on here of some sort that shows a picture of the engine bay with components such as throttle body etc named?? im not much of a engine boff! know a bit but not as much as id like to to get the best from my car.

Other than using the search facility for each part - try a Haynes manual for a general idea.
They are no way as detailed as they used to be so may be what you are after?

Yep that is great to use for part numbers. So much easier when I go to the dealer to order parts and you have the part number to give them.
