Engine light on after filling up with petrol

I brought an Ibiza 1.4 act (2014) and after a couple of months the engine light came on after filling up with fuel.
The car always drives fine no loss of power or hesitation and the light goes off after 2 or 3 days.
I've had a full service done with new plugs and fuel filter and had the codes checked while in there but nothing has come up?
I've run a few tanks of 99 Ron through to see if it was just bad quality fuel but the light still comes back on.
Any ideas?

They have said it's probably a faulty O2 sensor as it's Bank 1 sensor 1
So not P1296 like you said they told you?

Edit:- Bank1 Sensor 1 "P" codes are more like P04## and P11## not P12## - I think.

I suppose your first plan should be to replace the engine coolant sensor with a genuine VW Group part.

Ah!
So try Googling that and work your way through the possibilities, it could be the Lambda sensor - or it could be just measuring what something else is causing.

So just to update I've had the lambda sensor replacement done on warranty and 10 mins after filling up with fuel the light is back on with the same code and reason 🤦
Back to the drawing board we go.

Was that by a SEAT dealership, or an "all brands" workshop, if the later, then maybe they just fitted a cheap aftermarket Lambda sensor - just a thought, as NTK branded Lambda sensors, like what VW Group use at factory, cost a lot more than aftermarket ones.
