just driving normally yesterday when engine light came on ,checked handbook and it says something to do with lamda sensor in exhaust gases, also says drive carefully and take to dealer, rang dealer and they said if its running okay (which it is) then it should be okay to drive.its booked in at dealers to check out on friday, its an fr tdi by the way 22000miles any thoughts?.

Could be any number of things - some of the more confusing reasons include: brake pedal sensor, short circuit somewhere (though unlikely on such a new car).... dealer should be able to tell from whatever fault code it throws up

bet your dpf light comes on soon and the dealer finds its the exhaust pressure sensor (my experience twice)

turned out to be the notorious dpf all reset and back to normal now
