Engine management light on after fitting Allard Egr delete pipe?

Hi guys, the time gas come to sell my much loved ibiza, i fitted an allard egr delete pipe years ago and ever since then my EML has always been on (because the plug isn't in use) it has never bothered me as i know why it is on but for obvious reasons i will struggle to sell the car with it on.
Does anyone know what i can do to get the light off??? I'm not going to be dishonest and take bulbs out or whatever and if i clear the fault it comes back on anyway, so that's not an option either.

As far as I can work out the ecu either needs the egr circuit remapping out or you'll need to re fit the egr system to get the light to turn off and stay off....or tell the buyer why the light is on and show them if you've got a fault code reader.....

Have you simply blocked the vac pipe up, left the valve there and plugged in? Or have you removed the valve, pipeworl etc. and left the electrical connector unplugged?
