Engine management

Is it common for the engine management light to come on if the backpressure out the exhaust changes? my centre pipe came apart but i got it fixed and the engine management lights still on.. could it be on for the same reason or might it be something else?

See if you can get VAGCOM and clear it. May just need cleared

thanks, it disappeared by itself after i got back from the garage
