Hi guys

New here...with a problem too.

Had a problem just over a year ago after the engine light appeared, difficult to start at times, heavy idling, loss of power while driving as if it was being pulled back even with my foot to the floor. Had a diagnostic and the garage couldn't see any problems. They couldn't have a look that day but then i'd found this site and from some stuff i read I then changed the sparks and an ignition coil which seemed to fix the problem.

A similar problem has returned now, although happens every time I've driven it over the last couple of days.

Any other suggestions?

Hi, you really need to tell us which engine is fitted into that car, both engine size, and ideally engine code, this engine code can be found in the service book and on the build sheet stuck in the boot area, under, beside the spare wheel.

Other thing is to get a forum member that is on the VCDS map, to scan that engine and report the logged faults. If the engine management fault indicator has been on, some faults will have been logged.
