Hi Guys,

I have a 2016 Leon Cupra with APR Stage 2 setup (my downpipe without catalytic converter). Two weeks ago I got CEL with fault code P013800 - O2 Sensor Circ. Bank 1 Sensor 2 Voltage too High.

The CEL appeared after a track day (it was a very hot day about 38 degrees celsius, I never let the oil temp's pass 120c).

I tried to clear the ecu but the CEL came back after one drive, I checked for leaks from the intake, turbo and downpipe to the catback everything seems ok. I replaced the O2 sensor (post downpipe) with no joy.

What could be the problem?

I used to get that occasionally I also was stage 2 and had decat downpipe with O2 sensor on a spacer. I think it happens coz it's sees a little bit of fuel in the exhaust. Normally cleared after a few restarts nothing to worry about.

I don't have a spacer, with APR you don't need one, the software fools the ecu to think everything is ok with the O2 sensor. I have stage 2 for 6 months, only now the CEL decided to turn on, so far I cleared it about 6 times and it always come back.

When I unplugged it I didn't get the P013800 code, I got some other code (forgot the number). That's why I was pretty sure it's faulty sensor.

Before I'll go ahead and order. Is it possible that extend cord for the O2 sensor can cause this problem?

Update:

So I took out the sensor extend cord and it was in a bad shape under the hit protect sleeve, it just melted. I replaced it with a new cable and everything is ok now. Problem solved.
