not sure if its the case with Seats but I am sure it is. The only thing you have to be careful with regards warranty and mapping is that although the map can be hidden, no dealer will ever look for it to be honest. Its more a case that when plugged into the diagnostic it will all seem normal to the seat techy.

A problem may arise if you take the car to Seat under warranty with a running issue, they may flash the ECU with a new update and therefore wipe your map off.

Like I say I am not 100% sure but thats how it is with the astra ECU's. The way to deal with it is to make sure the company that maps the car will only charge you a small fee to upload your map again or do it for free :) Or better still if you feel comfortable enough to tell your dealer, tell him to never flash your ECU without your approval.

think that said it all really. :cartman:

Right, Im going ahead with this. But...

Can someone answer me a couple questions

What kind of performance (0-60) can you expect out of getting this car remapped? (I know it will be hard to give exact figures, but any rough ideas?).
Also, the main reason I want the remap is to get significant improved performance in high gears, can I expect this or am I expecting too much from it?

Thanks
