Looking to get a new engine as mine is very noisy especially at startup with what sounds like piston slap 
not really an engine write off but just embarrasin and annoying!
The shell is perfect and instead of selling it on and losing the money cos of the problem i thought spend that money on a new engine.
Iv got a 1.4 and im wondering what choices I have for a straight swap on the original mounts etc.
Can I use any mk2 or polo engine?
Also wheres the best place to get a decent 2nd hand engine from cos iv heard people on here talking bout under a couple hundred quid but the sites i found so far on the net are much more expensive.
