epc flashing and traction light

iv just built my engine last week and all has been fine covered 300miles so far but today i took it to 4.5k and when it got there the epc light started flashing and the traction light came on and wouldn't go off. then turned the car off/on then all was back to normal. went to the shops then on the way back thought id see if it was ok so took it to 4.5k again same happened again but i had no power on the throttle if i pressed it the the revs would hold but not rise then slowly came to a stop. it was misfiring on idle tried turning on/off but no difference if i unplugged the maff it would idle ok but not great. drove it home plugged maff in and it was still misfiring. left it for half hour now all if fine and drives like normal anyone have any ideas on the problem

dodgy maf? air leak? coil pack? what map have you got on the car?!

yeh was mapped by jabba i got 4 new coils yesterday because 1 went so there all in and i got a new maff 2months ago.

you got odd sized tyres on? ie 195 45 front and 195 50 rear??

na there all the same its quite odd afew months ago i had the traction light come on and not go off and would only boost to 15psi then turn it on/off and it worked fine again but never had this strange missfire and epc flashin. weirdest thing is that its fine now

Anyone have any more ideas the last thing I want is the car misfireing when I'm still running it in.

Take it steady mate, my car has only come on the road today & ive done 30miles so far & i will not be going over 2k until ive done at least 500miles

Iv run my engine in and made just under 190compression so all bedded in nice I spoke to ibiza alex and did what he said giving it low down flat throttel and then alowing the engine to slow it down at around 3k then keep repeating.found what the problem was tho a split pipe going to fpr.

Yeh cheers. My boost is still not right its 4psi down and drops quick so I still have another leak or problem somewhere. I changed my oil and filter after 20miles and 550mile btw followed a good thread I found on here.
