Hi Lads,
Sorry for the long post
The car is my daughters who is in Australia at the moment and it has been parked up at my work place for 5 months, she is due back in the next 3 weeks and was just wondering from this Forum if I could resolve two error codes P0106 and P0638
Seat Ibiza 1.4 SE 53 plate.
P0106 “Probably MAP Sensor needs replacing” info from goggle
P0638 “Throttle body needs cleaning” info from goggle.
Car EML been coming on and off for about two years, car seems to be running ok. She has had the car a couple times in at the local independent garage that we know and they could never find any errors from the ECU (EML intermittent).
Now that it has been park up (I have been ticking it over every two weeks to keep the battery good ish) it finally died last week. So I got a battery charger and charged it for 8 hrs…all-good car now turns over but EML on.
So fair play to a mate at work who has the software and cable to connect to car and does a live reading so now we have the two codes.
How easy is it cleaning or replacing above parts, I have very limited mechanical skills but willing to have ago if not to complicated. Any detail instructions with pictures would be good.
Thanks for reading
Kind regards
