ESP problem on my seat ibiza fr tdi.. Please help!

Hi all,

Right my esp switch is not working, i have plugged vcds in and it says that esp is "activated" at all times but if i hold my finger on the button it goes off then back activated when i let go. I have checked the fuse and its fine. Im at a loss here..

Please one of seatcupras talented people help?????

Ow and another thing the light is "not" lit up on the dashboard so im at a loss

You think that could be the issue paul?

If it was dodgy wouldnt it bring the esp light up on the dashboard?

By the sounds the switch isn't actually staying switched after you press it. When you're pressing it the circuit is broken and the system deactivates but as soon as you release the pressure it closes the circuit and turns it on. Makes sense in mind and also why no fault light.

That makes sense, right i have just done a test:

Just done a first gear start to wheelspin with the switch pressed down and held down and pulled off to witch then the car sempt to drop the revs n put the power back on. Now when i do it with the switch normal the revs stay high....

So i think it has the wrong switch/relay in or the switch is faulty, i brought the car with this problem not long ago so maybe wrong switch??
