true!, a few of the Belgium guys have done the usual smooth everything, but imo that doesn't work, no sidestrips makes it look too plain, although I am a fan of this extended bonnet they do

I could have a full car with no rubbing but I couldn't drive over woodlice or colonies of ants
And cos I was on the bump stops half the time it didn't handle

Back on mine is fine. The major problem for me is the sump/undertray. I hangs down so low!

The key is getting it set up right though. My last on would rub on the rear of someone sat in the back, but it was stiff enough to not rub when on a spirited drive.

Stanton on e38 forums (silver mk4 golf, 'j-euro' one ), he raised the strut towers on his cos he was running so low, says it drives fine now despite being about an inch of the floor!

i think is the offset my wheels + 20mm spacers and the coilovers are wound all the way down. Any bumps, especially at speed = lots of noise

Its that low on 17s (very low for a golf), on coilies, and doesn't rub, and doesn't sit on the bumpstops (yes it does still have them!)
