Exhaust/Bumper Issues

Hellooo,

I'm looking to fit a full magnex system (with oval tail pipe) to my GTi 16V.

Just wondered, is it going to fit correctly without any modifications to the bumper?...

I've seen a few MK2's now with the same system, or at least rear box, where the tail pipe is sitting below the bumper at about 35 degrees as opposed to straight

Any advice or recommendations would be great! Whether it be alternative systems, fitting do's and dont's or a decent coachworks south of London!

It does fit but you will have to make a slot in the bumper if you want it to sit flush and straight. Heres a pic of mine after it had been cut.................

i've got one on mine, sits pretty low on my pre-facelift. i'll try and get a pic up for you

I had one on mine when it was 16v and it sat just below the bumper without any modifications. I'll try and find a picture.

Looks better when it is flush into the bumper IMO. Like on this pic of Roelich's car

Mine now has a blueflame on it and has a cut out. It looks better but you just need to make sure it's in the correct place before you go trimming the bumper.

mine was cut out when i had a oval magnex backbox! but it still sat a little low when it was lowered on 15's. but now i have 17's and a 4" circular! and it sits fine in the cut out for th oval!
