Exhaust/catalyst help

I had a decat done on my 130 Sport a while back, and I love the sound of it, but I just don't like the diesel smell everytime you open a door with the engine running. When I had my clutch done at TSR, I questionned about putting the cat back on but taking off all silencers to get a nicer tone. They said that putting the cat back on with the amount of power I have (about 160+) will cut my performance and I should leave it off? True or false?

true. thats a general thing what ever the car is. the cat is quite restrictive thus reducing the flow through the exhaust system, and reducing the performance.

How was the service at TSR, not heard anything since these people took over?

Does your car pass an Mot with the cat off. Ive heard that they don't test emissions on a diesel.. just soot output lol. Also does you car smoke more without the cat?

A diesel does I know. I bloomin well hope so anyway cos mine's due MOT next weekend! Yes mine does smoke more with the cat off. But sounds nicer. There's a vid of it on here on the rollers. I'll try to find it.

Looks bad. You've gotta think that's flatting it though. She was doing 120+ mph. Oh i'm so proud of her!

A vid would be good. Im thinking of getting a decat done on mine soon. How much did it cost you to get it done if you don't mind me asking. Do you also have an upgrated cat back system aswell?

I had mine done at a Powerflow place. The whole decat back system was £200. So not too bad I don't reckon. I think you either love or hate Powerflow though. I personally reckon you can't go wrong.
