exhaust / decat

i just got myself a leon s 2000, petrol. not to sure on what to do to it was thinking maybe just a decat to get a nice loudish sound from it, or to get a backbox to get a nice loudish sound of that which one would n be better opions please oh and links to products if you no of any thnaks iain

if you decat it will throw up fault codes go for cat back system or if your feeling flush turbo back

None of the exhausts for a 1.8t will give you a really really loud sound, like jap car loud, although just had a Miltek cat back fitted on my LCR and sounds lovely.

mrvavavoom a decat shouldn't through up a fault as lambda sensor will be refitted in the decat and other than that its just more free flowing by removing filtering element. Although obviously won't pass an MOT with a decat.

my leons just a 1.4 will exhaut from a 1.b7 and lcr fit straigh on the same? any sites with these on it dont really wana spend to much would prefare buying a second hand one lol

Decatting my car put the EML light on after a few days. In the manual it says the lamda sensor reads the gases coming out and it knows there is something not right.
