Exhaust fitament

So... with the exhausts is there any fit difference between a k03/s and a ko4, for example could I fit a cupra r exhaust if I found someone selling to my 02 AUQ 180?

And also.... are all the exhausts for the mk4 platform the same design and layout? Saw someone selling an a3 exhaust they said would fit the Leon

Hi mate,

K03 and k04 turbo's fit differently, notable anything with KO4 (Cupra R etc) wont fit the AUQ.

Easily recognisable by the fact the AUQ downpipe to turbo fitment is pretty straight, whereas K04 fitment has an extra turn at the end of the pipe.

Cant comment on the compatibility across golf/audi/seat though.

Something I’m not sure on, I’ve been told they would fit by someone who’s had a R but ive read conflicting stuff on the forum.

From memory it was something like the spacing of it near the rear is a little off or something like that. I think you could probably get away with it if you’ve got a few tools and accessories haha

I’ve bought and am doing the car on a tight budget. Relying on a lot of second hand parts, repairs aren’t an issue. But I don’t wanna shell out 400 bucks for a Milltek only to find out like the one I had on my focus their welds are **** and it corrodes like mad

See if you can source a different downpipe? And thats not usually a problem as lots of places can pass them

It will fit but you will need the appropriate adapter. I have picked up a cobra cat back for the cupra r, o just had to get my hands on a ko3s decat and down pipe which I have done now. So yes. The only parts that are different are the cats (believe the r has two?) and down pipe


You can get an eBay special decat and down for about £80-90
