Exhaust query

Just wanted to know if you have a custom cat back exhaust is your warranty void or just affect the part you change.

What does people think?

Any problem that can be related to the cat back, is void. In reality nothing will happen.

Yeah tbh I can't really see much going wrong with exhaust unless they do a really crappy job and the thing is leaking all over the place hahahahahha

I'm just thinking what if you take it in for a service and they notice that ain't got the original exhaust on it

The only thing that would be void would be anything bolted to or relating to the exhaust.

before u manage to do any damage(that i find it super unlikely) you will have a nice emission light or check engine light flashing

Yer i know that, but if you go in with a slight problem with the engine and they say they wont fix it because of the exhaust, we all know it wont harm the engine in any way, but is that something a dealer would do? :S

Its possible they might try it, however they dont have any grounds to stand on doing it.

But as always, if your worried then dont.

I had a noisy turbo on my Leon FR TDI and had a Milltek on, they said that they doubt it would be under warranty due to the exhaust causing the problem, I kindly explained that they didn't have any grounds for that statement

Say if the turbo went, would the dealer try and wriggle out of fixing it by blaming it on the exhaust?

I wish this Milltek system would hurry up and be released!
