Exhaust setup

Hi,

I was wondering if anyone here is running a setup with a sports cat (no GPF), resonated, and a back box delete on a Cupra 280/290/300. How does it sound?

At the moment, I’ve just got a back box delete, but I’m thinking of adding a sports cat and getting it mapped. Just wanted to hear some thoughts on this setup—will it sound nice, or is it likely to sound crap?

Im running it the other way around. Decat downpipe (3.5"), stock center resonator, stock backboxes (ST 280 has 2). I also have a cutout valve before the backboxes. But giving advice about a subject like sound is always very difficult as its a very subjective subject.

When I swap the decat for 200 cells sportcat, it muffles a lot of sound. Its still quite loud, but it removes the "hooligan" from the exhaust note. For me especially noticeable for the DSG farts and pops & bangs. I still need to make more & better exhaust videos, but this is better than nothing.

Pictures etc can be found in my Readers Ride, see link below in my signature
