Exhaust upgrade

Well so 2 days ago the back silencer of my standard cupra exhaust broke off. The pipe was rusted through completely.
So now I was thinking about a complete exhaust change, as in the future I want to mount a different FMIC get it remapped and possibly change to k03s so will need a exhaust upgrade anyway.
I can tell you its a real .... finding a good exhaust set for a cordoba cupra....!! As the cordoba has a small tail the end pipe has to be a little longer....a real hassle to find lol!

Now my question is 2.5" is the good diamter size I will need to get or what? And the downpipe should that have a diameter of 3" then going into 2.5" for the exhaust? Or should I do the whole system 2.5"?

depends on how far ya want to go with tuning
2,5 will do fine whole system
what ya can do is, 3 inch for de dp and da rest 2,5 inch
dont forget to go for the racesystem(racecat etc)

Downpipe either 2.75" (Miltek) or 3" (Blueflame) then 2.5" from CAT back will do just nicely.

With the racesystem you mean what?
If i order a full exhaust 2.5 inch from a sports exhaust manufacturer is it not already a sports exhaust?

Wat bedoel je precies leg even uit graag?

some exhaust manufactures have different systems
such like supersprint(street or race system), depends on the thickness
milltek has mostly 2.50" or sometimes 3 inch so it depends on what car ya have
