ummm from my experiance i noticed if the cars in a high gear and at really low revvs and you give it a boot full, then you will get black smoke, otherwise its normal. obviously when booting it you get a little black smoke but thats commen with all diesels.

I was using shell V Power diesel fuel it was good but constant black smoke all the way up the revs in every gear. It was that bad u couldn't see anything out of the rear window. So i was adv to try BP fuel and that is great. It only smoke's when u initially put your foot down but doesn't smoke after that even when you change gear.
But BP Ultimate fuel is awesome you notice the power difference but it's £1.32 a litre rather that £1.10 for normal BP fuel. Well where i live it ia anyway.
