Is it true that you can put a skoda fabia rear wiper on the LCR? if so im down the scrap yard!!! coz the rear wiper drives me mad with the annoying juddering noise it makes. Also is the juddering a common thing on LCR's:shrug:

You need the blade and arm from a Fabia estate and the plastic cover from a hatchback. I've just done it, have a look at my pics. Part numbers included.

I just fitted on to mine at the weekend and it makes such a difference - in that my rear wiper works properly for the first time! 5 minute job and well worth it.

Is the fabia rear wiper the best one to go for or are there other options?

The reason why i ask is because the cover over the nut has just snapped off the wiper. [:@]

Now im left with an ugly bolt showing.

The Tourag wiper fits too i believe. and vwspares.com have one as well.

Any chance anyone could do a group buy on the skoda or something as id like one and im sure a few people would jump at the chance.

i done mine , didnt cost that much new from seat/skoda (white dove cardiff)
is 110% better and looks awsome too

best thing is its only a few quid to replace the blade - genuine too , halfrads charge more - i couldnt believe it

looking at alternative front wipers now , any suggestions

cheers

Valeo Flat Blades , Id swear by them, or you can go the full hog and get the MK 4 Arms and blades from http://www.vagparts.com/ £62 del to your door.

and while your at it do a search for my FAN washers mod. :) then your wiper mods are complete.

Just put the MK5 golf rear wiper arm on mine, it fits perfectly. Also fitted the front ones from a MK5 Golf after buying some hydro blades from ebay which were a little unsightly so I wouldn't bother with those.

basically in my case only the tip was touching the window,so i pushed the bottom in to get the whole wiper sitting on it perfect, spreading the contact area so it doesnt judder either.and its been fine ever since.
