Fabia Rear Wper Help !!

Right - first off, I thought this was mean to be the easiest mod - lol

Had my car serviced at Skoda the other day, so I ordered a Fabia wiper to sort the rear of my car out !

Just looking on Pabs site to fit it, and the actual wiper blade just totally looks wrong ??

It won't fit into the arm properly, and sticks out of the end (blade is made by Champion ?)???

The order codes on the invoice are correct, but the code on wiper packet reads as "1U6 955 425A" - have they given me the wrong one ?

I dont know about the blade. Mine came in a VAG bag without any mention of champion.

But when I asked at the dealer I didnt give part numbers, I just asked for the parts by name. all fitted perfectly and took less than 5 minutes to install.

I suspect the dealer gave you the wrong wiper blade.

Just a note; the fabia combi and hatchback use the same blade.

I'm not so sure it's the blade that's wrong. The plastic cover should be for the Fabia estate as it is longer than the hatch. Maybe you have a hatch cover and estate blade which is why it sticks out?

As said it is possibly the wiper arm, needs to be the estate one as the hatchback arm is shorter.

I'm sure the wiper blade is the same for hatch and combi fabia. The longer arm just holds the blade further out.

Interesting, mine is the estate arm with hatchback blade I think, got the PN's from a post on here provided by ChrisUK, however the arm PN was not held anymore by Skoda, so just told the parts chap to order me a Fabia Esatate arm, the arm and blade came in the same plastic bag as well.

Were yours in the same bag Chris?

Well i have just ordered these parts from pabs part numbers, comes to £17.56 inc vat, must get rid of that shambolic rear standard wiper it really is poor.

Are people replacing the front blades as well?

If so, with what?

I don't think the fronts are too bad. (Unlike the useless back one)

Think some people replace them with Aero style ones though. Not sure if they actually work better?

Fabia Rear Wiper = Order them from a Skoda dealer if there is one near you.

Front Aero Wipers = You can do the Golf MK IV Full Aero conversion on the front or go the cheeper route of Valeo Aero Wipers, see below thread for where to get these
