Nice- looking forward to the pics :) Should be a good un. I've got Seats Uprated plugs after I had a soft misfire(no power loss, just the light once) and not the bkrblahblahblah7x plugs that lucifer advises. Ive not had a problem since has ran perfect.

should be one of the good ones then with the new piston rings and even pistons as rumour has it. A word of advice, you should change your spark plugs to ngk bkr7eix, also make sure you have latest seat software update. These plugs reduce the floor in seats software for this engine and prevent misfires. Have a read on some of the misfiring threads for more info. dont mean to alarm you or anything, just some friendly advice. Anyway, welcome to the twincharged club!

These plugs are not seat approved are they? Just if its a 61 plate Hopefully as you say the issues will be ironed out. Id only change something if something goes wrong. If it aint broke...

Revo recommend the NGK plugs if you are using their maps on this engine[B)]

REVO recommend these plugs, and also say their software stops the misfires, however there is a guy on briskoda who had the latest stage 1 software installed at Awesome GTI on a car newer than mine with these plugs and hes still getting misfires.

I still get the odd misfire if i run the high boost map, hopefully something can be done about this, either newer pistons/different compression ratio or maybe some OKADA high output coilpacks as it might be the boost blowing out the spark. My car is running BKR9EIX

I know REVO recommend these plugs. Im not saying there bad, ive not used them seems you guys get good results with them. But SEAT dont use them do they? Assuming SEAT have different set of plugs they put in with thier revised software for standard cars.

My car aint half as tuned as your two Hurdy/VRSY but I have the standard SEAT plugs on my remapped Cupra. Im going to ask SEAT to take them out and picture/replace if they are black(more than likley will be) as its done 7k but its year is up so needs a service.

As said we were suffering a misfire at very high rpm on our high boost maps and tried the old plug, the new Audi plugs, the new VW/Skoda/Seat plugs, BKR7EIX, BKR8EIX and BKR9EIX all at varying spark plug gaps as well as new coil packs. Misfire got less prominent but was still there at full boost. It disappeared with lower boost though, so we think the higher boost was blowing the spark out causing the misfire.

Its just a standard Boc. The only thing I really wanted to have was a USB port, Iv been hanging on looking for a car with xenons for too long now and wanted a new car for the summer. I'll be changing a few things in a few months time with guidance from you guys of course.

It was standard until it got to the MY12 models...everything started to become options..including the middle headrest :\..but I was lucky and just got in there with it being standard..just wish I had xenons and racing brakes :(

IIRC some people who got cupras/bocs on MY12 models didnt have bluetooth as standard...I think USB was..I could be wrong. I just didnt see why everything that was standard dropped off to being an option. My cupra has the back speakers..I got mine just before they started changing everything

Don't think there's much difference spec-wise between the two but I'd definitely rather have the Cupra, I've never found the Fabia to be in any way attractive or sporty looking

Thats why i got an fr instead of cupra. Identical car and the image is not worth 1.5k. Think the skoda was around the same price as the fr so went with seat. Skoda makes a good sleeper

Oh but the image is worth everything ;) The changes are only skin deep ( Cupra tags front and rear, bumpers, interior, central exhaust([B)]) ect but I would prefer a Cupra to a Fr even if the Cupra was moreexpensive, it is because its higher up the range. Oh dont forget the other 30bhp without the need to ruin your warranty to get. Like saying anyone that bought a Focus RS is daft when they could of got the same engine in a ST, or a good few volvo's for that matter haha :)

I do know what you mean, its a sensible call to make.
