I am very disappointment about the options offered on the facelift model.
When I got my Formentor I wanted DSG 4-drive but not the most powerful engine as it was too much insurance and too low MPG.
So, I got the 4-drive 190, which is just about perfect for my needs.
When I change the car again in a few years time, I'd like pretty much the same or broadly similar.
However, they only fit the 4-Drive on the most powerful model (the 333).
The lower power model (265) has no 4-drive option.
Even if the 150 had it, I could live with the slightly smaller power, but that is now only available if manual with no 4-drive option either.
I think this is a very big mistake on their part and I'll probably not get another Formentor when I change, which is a shame as I like the car a lot.
I have wrote to Cupra to tell them this, not that it will do any good.
Very strange decision IMHO.

Some car manufacturers may be starting to rationalise their ICE model ranges in the run up to increasing their focus on EV production. So I suspect that with facelifts and - if there are any - new ICE models introduced prior to going to 100% EV production, there’ll be fewer ICE choices as more of the development and production budget will be directed towards EV’s.

You're probably correct. I'm no EV fan to be honest. They really do not meet my needs as the support infrastructure is not present in the rural locations I live and frequent as a hiker / mountaineer. For example, driving to the French / Italian / Swiss alps in an EV would be a logistical nightmare.

So it looks like my future will be to stick with what I have a bit longer than I ideally want to (I'm still relative young at 60 so quite a few years driving left), or go for the non 4-drive model or possibly even a hybrid. I don't really want to go back to a manual car as I've quite fallen for the DSG (first time I've driven one).
