Factory fit reverse parking sensors have packed up!

Hi All, thanks for taking the time to read this.

The Factory fit parking sensors on my Leon have packed up and I can't work out whats wrong, the other day I put it in first and the sensors made a beeping sound (they are reverse only) this happend a couple of times while I was driving around as well, with the reverse light coming on when the car was in first!!. Now they have completely stopped working along with teh reverse light.

Any Idea's what the problem might be before I resort to the local garage?

Reverse switch broken/shorting out?

Thanks Igor, do you know if it is a fairly easy job to switch out?

Check the fuse first as they may be wired to the reverse light which will mean they also stop working
