The same top corner cracking issue mentioned in this thread?

Hi all, I had the same problem, SEAT Derby refused to honour it under warranty saying it was my fault and I had caused it. I went through to SEAT exec but they said we can only go on what the dealership say. I asked for an independent company to have a look which was willing to pay for but they refused to accept that. In the end I had to pay for it as my MOT was coming up. But I have kept old of the old head light. When I spoke to Leicester SEAT they said they know about this fault it is common it is manufacturing defect. There was another user on here who had the same issue we went back to the SEAT exec saying two cars with the crack in the same location. They refused to talk to acknowledge that two different cars had the same issue. I was left out of pocket and in the end I swapped the car in as I had too many problems with it.

Yesterday I got my headlamp replaced under warranty. Ofc at first they were talking me into a crash, stone, whatever... But after inspection and seeing the car is in pristine condition they've accepted the claim. I showed the guy that the lamp was improprely mounted from the beginning with the wing leaning on the right fender, where on the left it was not the case.

You are very lucky to get that. Well done! , I ended up paying £700 in the end to replace the lamp with part goodwill due to poor customer service and after replacement they scratched the light in several places. It was the exact same issue as yours only affecting the one headlamp but it was pushing 7 months and they would not accept any responsibility or even consider a manufacturing fault after several inspections. My partner was about to give birth so needed the car back. Kept it another month and traded it in.

Congrats on your child! Mine is due in 2 weeks. I see a pattern here! 😅
