Hi All,

I think people might find this useful when looking to a buy a MK2 Leon FR TDi. I must stress this is based on a 2007 '56' Leon 2.0 TDI FR 170 PD Engine which I have covered just over 26000 mile since I acquired it just over 18 months ago.

That is a very very usefull brake down of cost.

The fuel summery is very good shows a good advrage over long periods of mileage

Very usefull guide well done good work

I use the Road Trip app on IOS for this. It tracks your fuel useage, MPG and all your expenses too.

I only average 48mpg on a 140 mile motorway run each week. I stay at around 80 mph though, my zetec turbo was doing well if i got 26mpg on the same run so i can't complain.

Why he would probably get 25mpg from a petrol.

I dont mean that you might aswell have a petrol.
In my head if I'm not hitting 55-60mpg I'd rather just have a petrol

I'm weird in the respect that I either go full eco or I go full power (I know its strange)

Last car, 28mpg, nearly 300bhp didnt mind spending $400 a month on fuel.

This car, when I first had it I was unhappy I was only getting 45mpg!
So I adjusted my driving style, remapped and removed DPF 65mpg...

I feel Okay about owning a diesel now!

However Town driving... that economy is pretty good, I naively assumed almost everyone does motorway miles in diesel.
