Anyone know what the fastest road legal fwd car is???

www.fastestfwdstreetcars.com

found this web page - old civics running 11.02 for 1/4 mile is pretty quick.

not sure whether they're road legal though.

Are we talking road legal... ie mot and tax but run slicks on the 1/4, or run treads?

I know the atc/ih nova ran a 11.344 back in early 2004, on slicks, and im sure that another car has run a 11.2 thats road legal. Cant remeber what the car is though.

ANR has run a 10.8@140 which is currently the fastest uk fwd, not road legal, an took his time to get there!

I saw some stupid 2.4 converted 550bhp Fiat Coupe get faster than that I'm sure....

To give you an idea, Looking at an old PVW, thea reason I chose this is cos they use proper timing gear

James' at JBS Octy vRS 0-60mph 4.89 (Tyres unknown)
Bill 360ish BHP Ibiza 0-60mph 5.17 (Bills old spec car on road legal tyres IIRC)

leading the pack though is a man not on these forums James Hodson works for Jabbasport 0-60mph 4.75

James Hodson 0-100 8.72 1/4 12.63

James Hodson maybe running MT Drag tyres

Bill's new spec Ibiza will be circa 450bhp, although it's not designed for 1/4miles, it's designed to go round corners too

0-60 isnt a real indication of 1/4 times, assuming that we're basing 'fastest' on 1/4's?

Didnt see that.... mid 12's isnt mind blowing though is it?

What car is James Hodson running?

I like to think of fastest measured in 1/4mile or 0-100mph. It's more comparable with rwd and 4wd motors unlike 0-60 times and top speed is hardly ever something we need.
