Well the fastest hot hatch i know of is Paul Johnsons Fiesta Turbo will 180mph+ beating Sunny's previous best of 179mph!

That is a privately owned car, and not some money-no-limit showcase car from a company.

the srt-4, 2.4 turbo 215bhp
# 0-60 time: 5.3 seconds
# 1/4 mile time: 13.8-14.2 seconds
# 1/4 mile speed: 98-102 mph
# Top Speed: 153 mph

doesnt sound like much really, but apparantly its the only car to be taking to a strip and raced in standard form against other standard cars from different manufacturers

A strange one too, a Volvo 850r , rr'd at close on 800bhp too

There's a 600bhp CTR in banzai this month, which is alot lighter than a 850!

BHp doesnt equate high speed though.

seen that in a jap mag, a black one with MAAAAAAAAASIVE intercooler and NX on the front of it, that running more like 700bhp now, its a companies though, not a private car, their 2 of them, ones only running about 400bhp tho (only he says)

Last time I saw that volve run was april time, he was giving all the bollucks in the pits. Pissed myself when he ran a 14 sec 1/4, i dont think he bettered a low 13 all day

really, thats funny as,

He was giving it all the talk down the pub about how amazing it was. It did look good and the turbo was a sbig as my cars engine.

my mates going up to some RAF track day thing in norfolk next weekend, should get to see the proof then i spose.

Yup andy nicholls, with his maestro. Think he ran a 12.4 at totb... his new car is a 800hp t16 rover 200 shell. Ran a 10.8@140 @ the pod a few weeks back. Currently the fastest fwd in europe i belive
