It's boosting fine but it just feels flat, noticeably flat too, also it can sometimes idle like a muscle car. I read that this could be maf, so I unplugged it and went for a drive and not much difference, but could it still be that? I could log the maf.

The maf is brand new lcr one, but when I got it mapped at jabba it was throwing the TC light on and has done ever since as soon as it boosts.

I also have the problem with coilpacks popping up, could this cause noticeable power loss? Plugs? Although they are brand new ngk they could need gapping?

well the coilpacks issue will cause a flat spot ,the tc light, when it comes on boost are you struggling for grip?if it was the maf the light would be on all the time

The TC light comes on and stays on until the engines turned off and it doesn't come back on when started again until you accelerate, it doesn't have to boost even or break traction.

Jabba mentioned this but the mapper said the
Maf was flowing at around 221 so seemed fine.

Would unplugging the maf definetly improve it if it was that? Because I have tryed that twice now with no difference.

Checked the coils and there fine.

Oh cool, try this help recover with flat spots..
disconect battery for 30mins, then a TB alignment,

You may also want log the maf, boost, timing.
If there a problem with spark plugs or coil pack, monitor the cyclnder and log it on high gears to see it detects any misfire in any of the cyclinders...

Running lcr maf with lcr element.

Done a log tonight on my liquid gauge (not sure how accruate this is) but maf was peaking at around 150 ish and I had this fault code 16487 P0103 Mass or Volume Air Flow Circ High Input

But why isn't disconnecting the maf making a difference? It just runs worse on idle and cuts out at junctions when the revs drop.

iirc dont you run an ibiza element within a 3"maf housing for hybrids as the elements are different?? Also if the maf is fubarred the car will run the same connected or not as its not metering corretly

16487 P0103 Mass or Volume Air Flow Circ High Input
this is exacly waht i have at the mo and the same thing is going on with me tcs light comes on,switch the car off and on again and it gos away

it also failed the mot because the emissions wer to high now its got to be somethig to do with this, put a brand new maf and no diffrence at all

i will be watchin this thread to see wich one of us sorts this out first, when i do i will let you know asap

just a thought could it have anything to do with lambda sensors? as when your maf fails it brings up a lambda code it could be this in reverse?? Eg over fueling &not enough air flow???

mabie.....but also the lamda is brand new done around 800miles even so i spoz they can still brake

Logging the MAF through Vagcom is the best way to identify the readings of the MAF. (not sure what the liquid gauge is that you have, or how accurate it is. )
