looking at going to dealers in a month or so and using my current 1.4 99 plate as trade in for part of the deposit towards a new fr tdi ibiza, however i have a few issues with the car that i am not sure are worth trying to sort before going

1 - chip in windscreen in front of passenger side towards the edge, never caused me any problems so not got this repared

2 - on bottom of passenger door sill got the old rust on the joint seal problem, not grown loads just not really had the time to sort out

3 - dent below passenger door handle done by a big gate lock in the dark, not sure if its repairable may not be worth it really but not sure

4 - cd player is now screwed finally had issues before but now cannot remove cd at all, tbh i think with this i will just replace with original radio as i doubt putting in a new cd player will have that much of an effect

other than that the car is running well, 85k miles with FSH, alloys, gti interior with sunroof and electric windows at the front, bodywork apart from the dent is good with stone chips but been regularly washed and polsihed and looked after

is it worth sorting any of these issues to get a good return on car value at trade in?

TBH mate, when it comes to trade in at the stealers, especially with cars the age of ours, condition really ain't gonna make much difference. They will probably offer you the same regardless (unless its a complete wreck), so jus depends on how good your haggling skills are.

Part-exchange Price:
Excellent condition:

Average condition:

Below average condition:
£660

for the price difference I'd not bother doing anything at all.
