Lincoln/40,000 ft.
Finally getting around to sorting out the numb feeling these Mk2 Leon's have. Already running on Sportlines but now booked in next week to have a WALK, front and rear Eibach ARB's (4x Laser Wheel Alignment) and THS Engine Mounts fitted. Its going in under the guise of its 30k service so as not to arouse suspicion in the wife!;)
Hopefully these mods will help the feel of the car as it just doesnt feel positive enough for me when 'pushing on'!
I'm getting these bits fitted by LVS (Lincoln Volkswagen Specialist) who are brilliant and so keen its unreal. They're always more than happy to show you around the workshop at some of the awesome VAG motors being worked on!:D The guy who runs the place is always attending Track days with his motor and working on it there so fills me with confidence! Anyway, hope these mods sort my motor out, will be back with an update next week!:)

I like the way you think mate. Trying to figure out how to sneak all my mods on so the missus doesn't realise I went bonkers and spent loads of cash for mods hahahahahaha. Can probs get away with the suspension and wheels as I need new tyres anyway so will just say I swapped with some one on the forum that was putting their car back to standard. Yes that's what I'll do hehehehehhe. let us know how the handling improves mate ok.

I'll be watching this with interest im looking to improve the handling as well, but have no idea were to start lol, oh and by the way what's WALK  lol if you don't mind me asking how much did it all cost you to buy and to fit? And were did you get it all from.

I've had near on the exact same setup, with Neuspeed ARBs in place of Eibach, for about 18 months.

You're in for a treat, the difference is utterly mind blowing and the confidence they inspire will enable you to cover the ground quicker, when cornering, than any remap.

Awesome dude, that's exactly what I wanted to hear! Think I commented on a thread with you the other day saying that that is exactly what I want in a car, something that can handle its power thru the twisties without using the loud pedal! Glad you've told me that!:-D

Tom b & Sniper, I'll have to wait until I'm back in work 2mo to give you the prices as all the details are on my work computer!:)

Bignod00 you'll have to let us know what the noise & vibration in the cabin is like from the mounts. Assuming your missus is a passenger in car with you, I'm not sure you'll have able to hide the engine mounts for too long!

any details on where u got parts from mate?

looking for the same setup, new to the leon so dunno where to start or who to talk to modding wise

Ha, yeah I was thinking that to be honest mate. My only saving grace is that she didn't notice when I got the non resonated full Milltek fitted so fingers crossed!;)

WALK = Whiteline Anti-Lift Kit http://www.whiteline.com.au/product_detail4.php?part_number=KCA316

Eibach ARB's (front & rear) fitted cost £406.44 & THS Mounts fitted are £360.

It's not cheap but I want to look after the bits i've already purchased i.e Milltek downpipe!

How much was the WALK kit bro!

Hey dude, the kit costs £177.47 from the manufacturer but as im a mechanical biff I had to get it fitted by a garage so fitted cost £228 and they sourced it for me!

I've got the independant VAG specialist garage im using to source all the parts for me mate, just google TFSI tuning and you'll find a plethora of info out there! :)

The front ARB is a bit time consuming to fit, so £400 for a both supplied and fitted is an excellent price. The WALK has gone up a bit in price it seems, still well worth it.

I had all my work done at Awesome GTI (near Manchester) who would be able to recommend mods if you're not sure. They're not the cheapest, but they're well thought of on here. They can also sell you the bits if you know a local garage.

Looking at the installation guide for the WALK it seems really easy to DIY? or is this me being naive?! haha!

It's not, but it's worth getting 4 wheel alignment after to save your tyres, which bumps the price up a bit.

Thats what I thought about the ARB's! I remember how long it took to do on my Mk1 Leon! I've used Awesome before as well and also recommend them highly. Helped me out at VERY short notice when my HPFP broke and mixed petrol into my oil!:censored:

It probably is pretty easy to fit mate, im just not very confident at doing thing like that and dont trust myself if im honest!;)
