Is the little pull down drawer in between the light switch and steering wheel not for sunglasses?
That's where i keep mine anyway, even has the little ridge in the centre

Will check tomorrow but they don't fit in there too well

Re glasses there is a VW polo part (6R0 857 465 A) which clips into the glovebox lid.
