Finding the Cupra R number?

Whats the best way to find out what number R ive got?
I know the last owner tried but failed.

with your R logbook there should be an R keyfob (if your lucky, thankfully the previous owner kept everything like that in perfect cond). On the back of the keyfob is a small bit of metal with the number stamped in... Apart from this I've not seen anything else that gives you an indication of what number it is....

I've never used my keyfob and it will always just stay with my logbook just for keeps sake..
Having a small silver plaque made up with the number etched in for sticking down near the gear stick......

i thought the mk3's had plaques on the centre console ?

Not that I know of...
If there's meant to be 1, then I'm missing mine

But there are no marks on dash or anywhere that gives a sign that there was 1 there once.

Don't know wether the stealers have any record that they can match up to your chassis number??

The only thing I have found with number on is the keyfob...

thats because the only way of finding out is the key fob
b try seat special ops @dover they should be able to tel you if you can give them the relevant info b
