fitting new turbo

hi, just a quick one really i am trying to save a few pennies by ftting my new turbo myself before taking it to amd to get remapped just wondering if i change the turbo and dp and decat all at the same time will it still be ok to drive up to amd (around 40 miles) thanks. Peter
also when removing turbo can i take the turbo out through the bottom with down pipe still attached as bolts are very seized even after using wd-40 over night. thanks

Depends what turbo your changing it to.. if its just to a ko3s.. yeah should be fine. I know some people have said it runs crap but runs never the less. Personally mine ran quite well which shocked people.

Think you will have trouble removing the turbo and downpipe together. Pretty sure we removed downpipe through bottom and turbo through the top. Driveshaft and subframe i think will cause problems removing it all together. Its tight down there to say the least.

as said, remove downpipe first through the bottom

then remove turbo through the top.

k03s will not run shi t at all. I've been running it for about a year now without mapping it accordingly. (i know shame on me..)

but performance wise it changes very little.
