Fitting rear parking sensors

Hi all,
I do not know if anyone can help me on this.
I want to fit rear parking sensors to my 2015 Leon.
One of the parts of the procedure is to connect one of the wires to the "reversing light". This is fitted to the hatch lid. There is no problem at the bulb holder part, but that means the lead has to be threaded up through the hatch lid and then back into the boot area ( where I intended to have the control box.
Is there another way to pick up the lead to the reversing light from the fuse box or somewhere more easily accessed.
Has anyone done this, as any help would be appreciated

Yes. The same loom passes up over the rear wheel arch of the car, inside the bodywork (nearside IIRC). It was the blue/black wire on my 2014 SE.

I think it's in the guide somewhere but I lost a lot of time by not realising that there is no power to the reverse light when the boot lid is open! Make sure your boot lid is closed when testing or trying to find voltage on the supply wire!

Thanks for that.
My car has not got a bumper to remove, it is all in one, but think I can get to the inside by removing the plastic guard under the car and reaching through from the ground.
If that is the case, I can just hook up to the electrics from the rear wheel arch.

Can't image what that might be. Is it the ST (estate) model?

I took the 12v power feed for the reversing lights from the reversing light switch on the 1.2tsi manual gear box.

There were no issues with this. Running a wire around the inside of the wheel arch and running it under the plastic floor tray was fairly straightforward.

I tapped of the reverse light at the wiring loom next to the third brake light...

Does mean you have to go up, but don't have to come down.. Lol..

Going by your profile you have the same car as me and the bumper can be removed, ive had mine off following a guide on here

Dont think ive heard of a car that has the bumper as an all in one either? (i could be wrong but ive never seen one)
