Right now I've got my FK coilovers fitted the car creaks when stearing. Only happens at < 20mph but you hear quite a loud creaking as if the springs are moving about or something. The car drives ok and it doesn't sound loud outside the car but inside it's very noticable.

Anyone know if this sounds normal or knows what it might be?

Pete

It might be worth checking the tightness of your ARB links. They can creak if the bolts go loose.

Anti roll bar kit? The thicker Fabia vRS kits with bushes are only £35 from the dealers.

buy some white grease spray and spray it all over the springs and platforms... coilovers are renowned for being noisy!

also try and spray the white grease up into the bearing in the top mounts!

I have had the same probs Pete.

When I first put them on and sprayed them with the can they supply you with it was ok. Since then and after a few very wet days I now always get squeaking noises when driving and the only solution is to probably give them a bath in copper grease.

Problem I find with that is that all the dirt will then stick on them. When the weather is dry though no problems!!

Let us know how you get on though! It's driving me nuts and I certainly don't enjoy driving the car as much anymore!

you should be carefull spraying white grease on the adjustment of the coilovers as white grease is a sticky should only spray very thinnley because if applyed thick the dirt and grit (this time of year) will stick strait on the white grease and cause big problems. this is what i found with mine so i cleaned them up and i apply wd-40 style spray on them every time i clean it (which is alot!) and yesterday they adjusted easy! all 4.

keep going lower thinking thatl do then next week wanting more im right at the bottom of the adjustment now at the rear and scraping on the front :)

i adjust the toe every time i adjust the ride hight as i have the facilitys at work. reading for the camber and caster are way out as the computer thinks its standard suspension will be getting a 4 wheel alignment for the coilovers now im happy with the ride height!

Hello, I think I have the same problem - I get 1 or 2 twangs when i turn the steering wheel either way. Where do I need to spray the greese - do I need to take the bolts off the mounts and spray down there? Also do I need to spray behind the rubber bit on the front springs? any help would be appreiciated.
Thanks
Andy
