flames from exhaust

Hi ive currently got a 3inch decat on my cupra!
A lad was shooting flames out of an aftermarket exhaust and he just reckons he only got a stage 2 on his
anyone know what exhaust or how this is done?
His just looked like the standard twin exit on the cupra?

Isn't that mapped into the car. Called rapid lift. Know ***** do this as I was going to get it done before I used someone closer. Happens with a "rapid lift " of the accelerator and you hummer it!

it could of just be mis firing? my stage 2 ibiza did the same when my coil started packing up. thought it was just because the car was rapid until it finally gave up the ghost.

unless he actually stated that his car was set up to produce flames?

I also had flames when I drove decat. Saw them when my car was on the rollers

I was also under the impression you can have flames (Or a higher chance of it) mapped in as well.

The guy who was hosting the roller session said that if you wanted flames, you can map it in. Dont know if this 100% correct, im just repeating what he said

Surely all it's doing is over fueling. Would of thought this could be mapped in via this. Why do it though? Call me boring , but why? it can't be good for it.

I got a 2.5" decat with a silencer, 2.25"racetube and a custom back box and mine spits flames and it's on a standard map. I love it personally

I'm running stage one with cobra cat back when I let off full throttle at high revs I get a faint double pop sound but no flames as i have a cat

Hmm maybe I will just have to get an exhaust and a map see wha happens another question is what gives u the rumble from a sport exhaust the facr u take the middle silencer out ornis it the backbox?

my mk3 golf with 20vt shoots nice flames when you go for a fast change at high revs, its a 2.5inch stainless steel with a decat also pops and bangs on the overrun but only pops the occasional small flame

Exhaust sounds are based on the silencer. When I had my custom box built on my golf , they showed me a silencer cut in half. It was like a spiral inside to make it sound like a bean can ( and boy did it rumble , fart , and pop ) and I hated it after a few weeks. I'm sure smaller the box , louder it is.

Do people think it will be possoble with 3" downpipe decat and 2.5" cobra backk?
Just I want something that is still fairly quiet when idling or low revs then a nice rumble when on full boot?

Every car will be different. Mapped different on a tweaked map while driving. I have a decat , all the other bits to go with it , stage 1 revo and I sometimes get a pop.

Hmm maybe ill just cross my fingers lol, be going straight for a stage 2 after christmas once I bought few more bits!

Bit of a suck it and see. If you defo want the pops and bangs, have it mapped to over fuel. I do personally think you will have it changed back after a while. Trying to come home after a night out at 2am is really going to please everyone who loves near you .
Over fueling isn't a good thing , but will get you what you want ( also keep your local fuel station happy ) .
Plonk a cherry bomb on it that would be interesting !

Paha just the thought of going past my neighbours at 3 in the morning throwing flames out and farting the street down is more than enough of a reason lol!
