Hi,

Toledo V5, W Reg (2000)

Can some one please confirm the exact location and number of the Flasher Relay. I have bought a unit from Halfords, after checking their catalogue, but it doesnt match with what I have where I expected the relay to be.

Thanks,
Tim

As far as I know the hazard switch is also the indicator relay. You need a new switch. Part Number 1M0 941 509 unless you have a tow bar fitted in which case it's 1M0 941 509 A.

Thanks for that info, it certainly sounds as if it is coming from that area.

How is it removed:confused:

I haven't ever done one in a Toledo. They push in and clips lock into place so you'll need to reach behind to ease the clips in either side. Are there any blanks next to the hazard switch cos they're the usual way in. Pop them out and get to the side of the switch that way.

Thanks Viking. I did another search (yes, I know, should have done that first ) and found a couple of threads that answer my query.

Originally I did a search and the posts suggested that the relay was behind the lower dash above the pedals. Having taken that all apart I realised my Toledo is different. It's getting dark now but will attack when I have a new switch. Back to Halfords with the wrong one. [:@]

Thanks again,
Tim

Searching on t'internet and the VAG on-line catalogue and there are a few different switches available. The one on my car is part number 1MO 941 509 which appears to be the standard fitment. There are others available with either an A, B, C suffix which appear to be for cars with sat nav and/or towing facility. I have neither, but does anyone know for sure if these others are unsuitable for my car? Been looking on e-bay and can see the others, but not my specific one.

Cheers,
Tim
