Hi guys, just tried fitiing my HID kit to my FR mk 2 Leon, all done and they light up fine when the ignition is on but as soon as the engine is running and i turn them on they both flicker then go off  my car has auto lights but don`t know what to try and where to go from here? has anyone else had this problem?:confused::confused:

i had same problem, had to buy the ultimate kit fro HIDs4U and it works fine now. you need ones that fit the canbus wiring and are usually more expensive

Oh sh*t, already fit them so don`t think they`ll take them back, is there a resistor or owt i can fit to make them work:confused:

i also tried a resistor and still flickered, and the resistor gets red hot

The vectra is canbus and a few guys fitted them with a resistor, you have to get the right size though, same problem without, they flickered ...

If you know someone with vagcom get them to enable Xenons on the central convience module this will disable the bulb warning for the headlight bulbs, increase the voltage to the full 14v when the engine is running (only 11v otherwise) which will stop them from flickering. This saves messing with any wires/resistors etc.

wish i had read this before i fitted mine last nite - same problems especially on main beam  should have guessed after all the led sidelight issues - the piaa tera's were a fortune too
