Hi all, i have just bought a 1.4 sport for the wife but the dealer seems to only have one flip key and the spare, can another flip key be programmed by the car like my Mk1 Leon or does the dealer need to do it? I upgraded the leons key with a flip, had the blade cut and transfered the transponder across as detailed on here, all good. Just wondered if the Mk5 Ibiza will be as easy.

Would be interested on that as the misses has seamed to hijack the flip key

You can order up another flip key from the dealers and they can have it programmed for you. You can have as many flip keys as you want, would get expensive though hehehehehehehehe But seriously, the dealers should be able to do it for you. Standard issue is a flip key and another standard key.

i asked my dealer this when i got my car (it will be her first birthday in 2 weeks) and he said it would be about £70 for a second flip key as far as i can remember. so not cheap

I can get the flip key and the blade cut for a lot less that the dealers but on the Leon you can programme the central locking on the car . I will transfer the transponder across from the spare key. Just interested if anyone has done it or any dealers on here know if it can be done on the car?

£70 isn't to bad the dealer gave me the impression it was more like £300, but he didn't have a clue about many things.

Just been quoted £172.78 inc VAT for an extra key for our Altea. On ordering SEAT require a copy of the V5 and driving license, to prove ownership, and they need the car and all keys to activate the new key.
