ye iv got one went to have it programmed today by a auto locksmith but he said had to be a seat job to do it has anyone used seat to code the immobiliser in there key?

Try another one, the fact he can't doesn't mean SEAT have to do it, he's talking out of his crack mate.

I imagine SEAT will charge quite a lot. Worth a phone call though.

they said they will do it for 40 quid. he said it was cus his software only did up to 07 and mine is 57

TBH, you may as well go for it at £40. Isn't quite as much as I expected. Still a lot for 5mins work though! But they are a business at the end of the day.

He's still bullshitting you... If it can work up to 07 then it can work for all mk4 Ibiza's as they run on the same communication protocol

ye waht it was mate is my car gave him a 5 pin SKC rather then a 4 pin and apparently this means it was redirecting his software or something

Sounds like he doesn't know what he's doing properly. The 5 digit SKC usually has a leading zero

Try VW and Skoda for coding as well - the prices all vary between dealers

so all he had to do was take a zero off and thanks will do think seat is just a shout seeing as car is going there for warranty work on wednesday anyway
