Anyone else dealt with the above dealer in Surrey?

I recently bought my new car from them and was extremely unhappy with the service and amount of mistakes they made.

eg.

Finance protection was added after I adamantly stressed I was not interested.

I was told by the salesman that SEAT didn't even sell this type of insurance!!!!. I thourght Peter Mandelson was the only who could lie that good!.

My dad had his Seat Marbella serviced at the same garage. They told him in order to the pass the MOT it would require the replacement of the catalytic converter at £300. He took the car to another garage and was told there was nothing wrong with it!

But on the flip side they did offer a car while I was waiting for the new one to arrive.

This is not intended to be derrogatry to towards SEAT as their interest in seatcupra.net shows they clearly want to do things better. Well Done SEAT.

I know I can't expect anyone to answer on these points but I hope the next time I have to go to dealership things have improved.

(If you work for SEAT and need my registration and postcode I will be happy to supply. Please send an email to [email protected])

Elliot,

I went to buy mine from them, made it all to the way to the desk, went for two drives after much huffing from salesperson- in the end he didnt like some questions we asked and couldnt give us satisfactory answers so we up't and left- next day i bought it else where. They were however very interested in the car i was offering part ex- typical. I've never been back to them!

You win some you lose some, i've been too two Seat garages that have been outstanding.

Hope you get better luck next time.

Usual- Amethyst after wiltshire f**ked it up.
And Jones of chelmesford where they had it for two weeks too find the problem with the centrel locking- fitted a new brain for it - they completely gutted the interior!, it then went in for about two monts to sort out the brakes as the abs lite kept coming on they did everything they put a new brain in there as well! they gave me hire cars on the spot, the service manager even gave me his when he had none left when he realised id nearly smacked someone up the but cos i couldnt put the brake pedal down!!

i would gladly drive back to them for a service -if only i did that instead of taking it to the above.

i snapped the pedal box of the top of the clutch, a week prior to this i seen W/S and they said i need a new gearbox which they duely fitted. I told them i about the clutch- common problem they said- so y didnt they check that first b4 putting in a £1300 gearbox!!!!!!!!

needless to say i dont use them anymore.

Paul

ps i work directly opposite W/S!

I have been to both Wiltshires and Focus. Both rubbish. Its a shame to say that I would seriously have to consider whether to buy another SEAT due to the SHONKY quality of there dealers.

Matt.

Lets just hope that Seat UK really do take a good look at these threads, this story is all to familiar to many Seat owners.

I use Focus and have been less than satisfied with the service.

I really enjoy my Leon but unless Seat vastly improve the dealers I will not bother with another Seat..... Its a shame really.
