I think it depends on the brocher as I'm sure the x's are standard kit...then there is the options list seperate. iirc

I'm guessing the dipping mirrors is/was controlled by the comfort module and I'm guessing its no longer there to turn on in the program. If someone has VAG com and a leon with this feature, and can work out what the controller is, then i can check in mine for the same function on the later models. but i'm guessing it was part of the seat position memory kit if that adjusted the mirrors to like most cars

Its indeed an option only availible on the memory seats, with the old mirrors.
I've upgrades my MY01 cupra to MY03 cupra mirrors and i no longer have the dipping mirror-function

was the wiring different then on the later mirrors?

nope it was plug & play, but, the old mirrors have 2 plugs & the new ones just one.
Everything else works, el folding ,el heating, adjusting, just not the dipping
