What model and age car you got?

Have you tried pressing and holding the button to see if the mirrors fold in?

Not all cars have that function. You can enable it with OBD11 but some cars just have a manual fold/unfold function which works of the door mirror switch.

From factory single press on fob locks car. If you press it a second time and hold the lock button mirrors should fold. You can code it so it folds on 1 press of the lock button which most ppl do

If your mirrors fold in using the toggle then it must be the windows that need resetting (honestly).

Holding the lock button would normally shut any open windows, as well as folding your mirrors. However if the system can't shut the windows it won't fold the mirrors. It's all to do with the anti-pinch system so you can't shut a window on someones, hand, arm, head etc.

So to find out which window needs resetting trying using the one touch close/open on each window. The window (or windows) that doesn't one touch open/close will need resetting. If you to a search for resetting windows on here, or check the manual you'll get instructions on how to do it. Involves something like opening the window and closing it and holding it closed for 10 seconds.

Quick video here:

If mirrors don’t fold, windows/sunroof doesn’t close when pressing and holding the fob buttons, then this is normally the issue.

Try this with OBD11

1 - Module 09- Electronic control unit. Code (31347)
2 - Adaptation
3 - Access control 2 Up to MY16 or enter Spiegelverstellung From MY17 and later
4 - Funk spiegelanklppung modus - (Change value to Convenience operation via remote control key)
Press and hold the button to fold or unfold
5 - Funk Spiegelanklappen - (Change value to On)

If you also want to close with a single click instead of keeping the button pressed:
6 - Funk spiegelaklappung modus - (Change value to By look command via remote control key)

If you also want to appear in the car menu to activate or deactivate from the screen:
7 - Menuesteuerung funk spiegel anklappen - (Change value to On)
