l’m looking forward to collecting my Ibiza Xcelence Lux this Thursday and wondering how you make the wing mirrors fold when you lock the car? I’ve never had a car with keyless entry or folding wing mirrors so not sure how they work.

Activate the function in the infotainment system, and the mirrors will fold when you lock the door, either by swiping your hand on the driver side door handle, or via the key fob.

Thanks for your answers, I think I will set the wing mirrors to fold in the infotainment system to fold when locking the door by swiping my hand on the door handle.

If there is no option in infotainment. Then you need to activate this with vcds etc.
Not al cars have this option Standard with folding mirrors..

My FR has keyless and you have to hold your finger on the handle sensor to fold the mirrors. I wouldn’t call it a swipe, it’s easier to hold the lock button on the remote.

My two week old FR has the option to auto fold when locking - no need to hold the lock button to do it

Is this something changed in the infotainment system? Ordering in June/July and to be totally honest I was thinking I'd end up having to change it in Carista but this sounds promising!

I have an xcellence lux and all you do is enable mirror folding on locking on the centre screen and then they fold in when you either press the lock button (1 click) or tap your finger on the door handle to lock the car (just a tap not hold down). If you hold the lock button down then it closes all windows and sun roof and if you hold unlock button then it opens windows and sunroof.

Thanks Jonny, I will make sure I enable that option when I pick up my car.

My Xcellence Lux auto folds the mirrors, but the dealer said this was something he'd got set up. They automatically fold when you lock the car, either by touching the sensor on the door handle or by pressing the button on the remote.
